The extraction and analysis of lineament density from digital elevation model (dem) in libungo geothermal area, gorontalo

Abstract Remote sensing often used in geothermal exploration because it was considered has many advantages. The aim of this research is to extract and analyze the lineament density Libungo area based on a Digital Elevation Model (DEM). Lineament obtained from (DEM) satellite image data downloaded Geospatial Information Agency (BIG) page. processing uses Geomatica aplication automatically. Extracted processed using Geographic System (GIS) produce map Rockworks generate direction. maps help identify permeability area. Based results extraction analysis, interpreted that high-density value. High values are associated with good permeability. A direction affect lineaments northwest-southeast Gorontalo’s main geological structure.
